This year I
have decided to spend my birthday weekend (#gettingold) in Pula (Croatia) which
is a small seafront city with a lot of ancient Roman buildings. The weather at
the end of October/beginning of November was really good, 18-20 degrees, sunny
but a bit windy.
I stayed with my boyfriend in Pula Histria Hotel , and this was a view from our room. Pretty amazing!
The must do
is a visit to the Arena – a Roman amphitheatre.
As well as seeing the Temple of Augustus and the Triumphal Arch of the Sergi - Golden Gate.
We managed
to find a great boat trip around Brijuni National Park despite the hotel staff
saying that it was not a season for that now. On board we were treated to a
selection of drinks (wine included!) and a freshly prepared lunch. I had
grilled fish which was scrumptious.
The city is
full of nice streets.
I would
definitely recommend a visit there but I would probably advise you to go there
in season as plenty of places were shut down at the end of October.
